The site is in the Taro district, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture. Amid the extreme scarcity of materials/equipment and labor immediately after the earthquake, we took flooding prevention measures in the area and completed the work in seven years and ten months. The project provides the area with strong protection against future tidal wave damage.
