They discharge oxygen and fix carbon within themselves. Carbon stock technologies apply this natural process to construction technologies by moving lumber underground while promoting the construction business. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions and mitigates climate change. We contribute to decarbonization via the LP-LiC Method (piling logs into soft ground to solidify the ground and prevent liquefaction) and the LP-SoC Method (piling logs into soft ground, such as cohesive soil, to improve the load bearing capacity of and reinforce the local ground surface).Hydroelectric power is a renewable and eco-friendly energy source based on water resources which are plentiful in Japan. We’re advancing the small- and medium-scale hydroelectric power business through processes ranging from research and design to operations management. We’re developing this business nationwide to meet the needs of local communities, alongside community support activities that seek to revitalize agricultural infrastructures and dialogue with local governments based on the conditions of each region.Ochiai Hiraishi small-scale hydroelectric power station (Gifu Prefecture)Preventing water, noise, vibration, and air pollutionWaste sorting, reducing volumes of construction byproducts, reuse, and disposal costsGreen procurement and environmentally friendly designs, etc.Environmental education and management personnel costs, etc.Research and development for environmental conservation, etc.Nature conservation, community activities, and donationsRestoration of natural environments and compensations, etc.Large-scale housing complex site (Chiba Prefecture)ItemPromoting the renewal, upgrade, and management of local agricultural waterways as part of our business activitiesFY 2017FY 2018FY 2019205.7310.22,973.71,091.21,920.224.721.881.786.684.86923.614.23.21.613.317.23,410.61,611.82,414.9(Four operating sites as of FY 2022)(Units: million yen)
